Generally, I was really impressed by the entries. Way to rise to the challenge of Symmetry all you travel bloggers.
The Winner Is…
Claire from Beached Eskimo! Congratulations!
“My entry is from a water feature in the Alcazar of Sevilla, which to me just exudes calmness. Symmetry was also an important part of Moorish design and decoration.”
This piece stood out among the rest for it’s compelling use of symmetry both along both axis as well as a unified and intelligent use of color. Well done!

Wow that is symmetrical, and absolutely stunning!
All of these are terrific. Glad I didn’t have to choose!
wow.. wonderful pic!
Awww, thanks all – I love the runners up as well. Obviously a good choice of topic.
I have the next round’s topic in mind… I’ll post the new round over the next couple of days.
Oooh I’m excited to learn what the new topic is!
Congrats! That is a good one!
Congrats to Beached Eskimo! This was clearly a winning shot. Great use of symmetry.
I thought so too!
Congrats to Claire Beached Eskimo!! I’ve been in that place as well, even though the light was not on, so it was just dark when I was there.
Andrew, thanks to give us honorable mention
Glad you like the olive pile, they are delicious too.
No problem! I loved your shot since every element had symmetry by itself and you also framed it so the whole thing was more or less symmetrical. The kicker that got you the honorable mention was that I LOVE olives (when not used in bread that is)!
Congrats to the winner. It was indeed one of the best ones.
Aww poops I didn’t get around to entering.
hahaha. snooz = looz.
Awesome choice! Claire’s was definitely my favorite of the bunch. I love the lines and the color.
