The Japanese love creating lists of their most impressive attractions. They have lists for the “Three Best Views,” the “Three Most Famous Castles, etc… Unbeknown to me at the time, Spectacles Bridge is considered one of the “Three Most Famous Bridges” in Japan. The other two are Edo’s Nihonbashi Bridge and Iwakuni’s Kintaikyou Bridge.
When visiting, don’t be afraid to walk right down to the river from the bridge. If you have your camera, I recommend using an arch of Spectacles bridge to frame a shot of the river.
